I live in Baja California, Mexico and am buying these lures for my
neighbor. He is going to Southern Baja California (Guererro Negro) for
Easter week. He and a group of men go fishing for big fish and I have gotten him a
reel and two X-rap lures so far. I am still looking for line and another lure. I am
a 71 year old grandma and retired racehorse trainer so
this is not my expertice. I did buy him several x-rap lures last year and he did
well with those so now he is buying his own rod and reel for this trip.

Thanks for your great service. Use them almost exclusively for trolling for big
pelagic species in western Australia... Mainly Spanish Mackerel, yellow fin tuna,
dorado etc. normally at speeds of 13 - 15 km per hour

Most of the time I will slow troll live baits squid, yakka's or slimey
mackerel. If these aren't available I will troll using the lures or a
combo of both. In the area's I fish these lures work well on yellow tail
kingfish, mack tuna, Australian salmon, tailor and a few other species.
If I am lucky enough to go outside with one of my mates, I would use the
30's for yellow fin tuna. I will be looking at purchasing some more
lures over the next few days as someone else like my old lures more than
I did and decided to steal them. I will contact you as soon as I work
out what I would like.

tuna.

I am going to attempt to catch Snapper on the X-raps I just bought. Snapper are not
normally targetted using bibbed lures, however I have read a few articles recently
about guys that have had success.

I/we use these lures for
targetting what we refer to as Southern Bluefin Tuna.

These fish in previous seasons have ranged in size from 5 to 150 kg (10-300lb).
Last season there were a number of 100 kg tuna landed using these lures.

These lures are quite popular here, obviously, almost all people troll them combined
with skirted lures in the spread as well.

I personally have only landed them to 25kg, however, lost one at the boat at an
estimated 160kg.

In other words we get an annual (3-5 mth) run of very small to huge sthn bluefin
tuna. These lures retail for AU$30 here so to get them for approx AU$20 delivered is
a good saving.
