Hi these lures are designed to target fish that are deep, mostly during Winter time,
the lure is pulled by the boat,(trolling)far away at 50/ 75 yards.
At speeds of 5 miles per hour
On 50# braid, tld 25 reels or similar
And trolling rods.

Thanks for the quick dispatch. We have been using the rapala xrap magnum lures for
many years targeting king fish. We trawl them behind the boat at 6 knts along rocky
shoreline and reefs.
Over the last few years we worked out that the SPM lure is the most successful.

We do trips up north we tow the boats up to the middle of nowhere (gnarloo station)
and beach launch them everyday we mainly go for red emperor I think you guys call
them red snapper or emperor snapper got a 12kg last year we catch them bottom
fishing in about 80m thats what we use the 8/0 vmc o'shaughnessy hooks for but we
use the xrap 30s along the back of the reef because they get down so deep you get
the big Spanish mackerel at the bottom we have had a lot of successes with these
lures they get to a depth of about 10m so we troll at about 12 to 15m we usually get
them around 10 to 15kg 1 of us got a 20kg last year we have also got tuna and wahoo
on them when we are heading out to the deeper water 80m to 100m we usually put a
couple out the back and we can pick a few up that way im heading over to the cocos
keeling islands to visit a mate in a few weeks so im going to take a few lures over
there to try out they get big dog tooth tuna and wahoo
over there so cant wait ive attached some photos for you to look at
