I use these safety snap swivels mainly for river fishing. I make slinky
weights and use the safety snap swivels to attach my slinkies. They serve a
dual purpose, the barrel swivel keeps my line from twisting and the safety
snap attaches to my slinky weights.
I will use these safety snap swivels on my deep diving bass plugs, when
lake fishing for bass. Attach the swivel to the eye of the plug. It might
reduce some of the action of the plug, but the knot won't take the abuse
when its tied directly to the plug. I don't use braided line with my plugs.
