Mustad Classic Bronze treble hooks set the standard in quality and are very economical. Sharp and strong with the quality of Mustad behind them.

These hooks will not be used for fishing - at least, not exactly. I will add about 2 Oz of lead to them and they will be used by various hunters during our MS season as snag hooks for alligators.
Almost exclusively, we use Mustad 3551 10/0 treble hooks. Some insist on the Duratin, but I have not had any trouble with the bronze. Our season is about 10 days long and we'll probably wind up losing about 15 of these hooks due to blind casting into logs or having the alligator get them tangled and hung up. So far, they have helped my boat over 200 alligators.

This is actually a repeat order from about a month ago. I added about 2 oz of lead to each hook with a Do-It mold with the intent to resell them to other alligator hunters for use in our upcoming season.
Then I had a friend ask me if I could paint his with glow-in-the-dark paint. Well that took off like wildfire! I have been buying a box or two of these hooks from y'all in the off-season for several years now and putting them on the top shelf in my shop. Once the demand took off, I went looking through my cabinet to see what I had. I found an additional 4 boxes of 10/0 and a box of 8/0! I sold over 150 weighted and painted hooks last week and still have a demand for them!
This window will close as quickly as it opened, so I'm getting 2 more boxes to satiate these last few late comers.

I make fishing lures and need that size hook for many of them. These lures are made
for man caves, cottages, bars, restaurants, etc. Very unique.
If sales continue, I will be ordering more hooks in the future.

These hooks will be put to good use! I doubt that a single fish will be caught on
them. but alligators better be careful! I'll mold a couple of ounces of lead on
them and use them to snag gators during our one week season.
Drop in on our Mississippi Alligator Hunters page on Facebook and you might can get
a little business there. Tell them I sent you, they're a pretty right group!

We just got our tags for Gator Season and will be using these 10/0 mustad treble hooks come August.
Last year we got 2 gators and this year we've got more tags so we're hoping for
more. Thank you so much for shipping so quickly.

I use these hooks as snatch hooks when hunting alligators in the Florida Everglades.
In Florida, we cannot use bait or guns (other than a bang stick). We cast the
treble hooks on 150 lb braid over the gators back. Cast are typically 50 - 60
yards. Once we have them hooked (hook does not penetrate their thick skin so
sometimes they get off) we try to get them close enough to hit them with a harpoon
and eventually a bang stick. Lights out at that point. I will send you pictures of
our latest hunt.

I use them for Paddlefishing. If you don't already know snagging is the only way to catch paddlefish, because they are plankton eaters. They get up to 130 lbs! Also, the set up is a 10 foot pole, 50-85 lb braid line, and 5 oz weights.
There is a season for paddlefish and it starts May 15th. Where I fish they only allow 1000 fish to be caught...so once the 1000 are caught the season closes. And certain days of the week you have to catch and release and the other days of the week are keep days. You are only allowed to keep one per year and you are issued a tag to put on the fish you keep. On keep days the one you snag is the one you have too keep, you can not catch and release on keep days.
I call it combat fishing, because you are standing shoulder to shoulder with a lot of people and when you hook one it drags you down river...through everybody below you, till you can get it landed.
Last year in one day we caught maybe 10 fish ranging between 30 and 80lbs.
If you haven't already experienced paddlefishing....trust me its a must...you have to try it!

The 3551 will be used in the Do-It Snagging weighted hook mold. There is a terminal fishery/harvest area next to the local hatchery and because the fish are not natural runs, they let the general public harvest by snagging in a special man made fresh water pool just off the creek. You can legally snag anywhere in saltwater around the hatchery but never in fresh water streams, except this one location. As such these hooks are in high deman in June/July. I plan on making several for myself and selling any surplus. The 34081 will go in the Hilts Big Mojo halibut jig. The other swivels/lead snaps I had asked about are for securing 10-20lb cannonballs to shrimp line snaps and the long line.
