I snag spoonbill with them put a weight at end of line then two hooks about a foot
and two foot from sinker and snag not catch fish
Chad on 06/07/2013 06:18pm
my dad uses the mustad 7/0 treble hooks for bigger live bait for muskies
Pete on 05/09/2013 07:55am
The 6/0 and 7/0 mustad treble hooks are for my in-line bucktail spinnerbaits. When a muskie is in
the net we generally cut the hooks out of their mouth and from the tangled net
before reaching in to grab the fish. Much safer for everyone! As a result we go
through a lot of hooks so I buy extras in bulk when possible.

I own a tackle company and guide service in central, wisconsin. Spot on the spot
guide service and custom tackle llc. I'm working on building inventory for the
winter show season. I make lures for pike and musky- I've also used my lures on
stripers and tarpon
The hooks I've been buying from you have been for my soft plastic jerkbaits, and
bucktails. I'm always looking for a deal and your hooks were 18 bucks cheaper then
anywhere else. Wish you had more lol.

thanks for the quick shipping, I am a Canadian Muskie
guide, we cut allot of hooks during the fall trolling season to ensure safe
release of all of our fish.

I fish for muskie in NW Ontario. It is 99.9% catch and release fishing,
and if the fish is badly hooked we cut the hooks with mini-bolt cutters to help with
release. So as season goes on I replace a lot of hooks. Used to use mostly 3/0 to
5/0, but learned that 6/0 to 8/0 work better. These hooks will mostly go on large
inline spinners, which I cast and retrieve at a good clip using a Calcutta 400 or a
saltwater reel like an Avet JX. Example of type of bait:

I'll also use them on other muskie plugs such as these:

Next fall/winter I'll be looking for 50-lots of 3551 in 6/0, 7/0, 8/0, and even 9/0.
I like the 3551 because easy to put/keep a good point on it and not too expensive so
don't mind cutting them when needed.

I work offshore on a drilling rig and plan to use the hooks to catch tuna. We
have been catching several 60-140 pounders this past week and I'm running out of
the usual hooks I use. I thought I'd try some of yours and see how they do.
I'll let you know in a couple of weeks when I return to the rig and get them on a
bait.
oh yeah...we're using them on some broomsticks painted white...it resembles a
flying fish and the tuna love it over most anything you can buy. I'll send you a
pic if you like. Have a great day and thanks again for the quick response after
the order.

I use then to snag spoonbill!

Leif on 02/10/2012 06:47pm
i use them for shovelbill snagging here in
Tennessee. I use a mold to make weighted snag hooks. We had the state record last
year for about 2 hours! Anyway, this is the only way to catch 'em and it is legal
between march 1-15. They are good eatin'! I hope to buy from you again in the
future.

I plan to use these hooks for snagging paddle fish in Oklahoma
Joe on 10/29/2011 04:41pm
I use them on muskie bucktails that I build and as replacement hooks on some
crankbaits and soft plastics. I also use 8/0 to 10/0 3551's depending on
application.
