I use these lures for salt water fishing in the Bahamas for grouper and
snapper. I troll them over shallow reefs in the vicinity of Walkers Cay and
Grand Cay in the northern Abacos.
There are similar lures which are cheaper and will attract as many strikes
as the Rapalas, but they are not constructed as well. The Rapalas have
strong treble hooks that big fish cannot straighten out and they resist the
abuse of barracuda teeth better too.

I used this kind of lures like the rapala saltwater x rap 14 for offshore fishing for predators like barracuda, jacks and bluefish.
Orange works specially well at sunset and early in the morning.
This lure itself allows long cast from the shore.

I haven't tried the rapala x rap saltwater lure yet, but I had a similar as this, and it was really good. I cought more fish with that, than with any other. I used to fish at a lake and once I cought 6 pikes with it (1-6 kilogramms). But unfortunately I've lost it - thats why I bought yours. I will use it happily.
