Trolling fast and deep, casting inshore flats for tarpon or looking for your next 50-incher, there's an X-Rap just for you. All are rigged with durable componentry to withstand the inevitable smashes from all species of fish and the general rigors of the saltwater environment. Each is built to the exacting standards set years ago by Lauri himself.

I use these saltwater x rap lures on Australian barramundi. These lures are deadly if fished
correctly. There are a couple of ways I use these lures, the first way is to give
the lure 5 big jerks whilst retrieving and then let it sit suspending for 5 to 10
seconds, repeating the process. The other way I use them is to retrieve them very
slowly with no erratic motion. The first method is my favourite and always produces
fish. I have successfully used these rapala lures time and time again and caught big
barramundi up to 80 pounds or 1.30 meters.

I use the X Raps for
salt and fresh water fishing. For salt water i make long casts over
shallow reefs and use an aggressive rip pause action and alternate the
amount of rips or speed off them before pause and the length off the
pause from 2- 10 second on the longer pause a small twitch or two
imparted mixes it up a bit until you find out what the fish will react
too.In the fresh as they slow sink,i cast into fallen timber or rocky
points and twitch the lure down the face of the structure with a few
small rips every now and then to make the lure look like an injured bait
fish that is trying to swim up but cant. They even work well straight
trolling.

Here in Rio de Janeiro, i use lures between 8 and 12 cm, like smith's wavy
and saruna, duel hardcore and alie magnet, Yo-zuri Cristal Minnow, Rapalas
X-Rap, Jackson Athlete, and others to fish snooks, in Guanabara Bay. And
use larger baits in the open sea islands to fish anchovy, yellowtail, and
others.
