Rapala Husky Jerk 12 - Firetiger

That's no problem. I was bought up fishing with a spinning reel and later
became a fly fisherman. Recently I decided that I really wanted to try
crankbait fishing.
I have just put together a quality rod and reel combo. Resisting the
latest carbon fibre bodied reels, I bought a Zillion JDM TD-Z 100SH reel and

paired it with a Zillion TDZL701MHFB rod. (My philosophy is buy once)
I know the reel is fast for crank bait fishing, but I want the extra speed
there on standby.
And that's where your lures come in.

Having no local lure knowledge for Mackay, Queensland in Australia, I turned

to a fishing guide that works out of Cairns (Queensland) he recommended a
number of lures.

Turning to the fish that I'm after are in the rivers and estuaries around
here, the
recommendations were your Rapala Husky for Barramundi, Mangrove Jack and
Trevally. Plus the Shad Rap, Count Down and Gold Bomber.

I terms of how I will fish them, I guess I am going to learn.
Hopefully it won't be the hard expensive way.

I was fishing the tailwaters of the Oahe Dam for walleyes on the Missouri
River near Pierre, SD last evening using a Rapala Husky Jerk with the Clown
coloratioin, but wasn't having much luck. One of the other fisherman said I
needed a Rapala Husky Jerk with the Fire Tiger coloration. He put on his
Fire Tiger plug and started catching the walleyes right away, another
fisherman put on his Fire Tiger and also started catching the walleyes in
the next few minutes. In the next half hour both fisherman had their four
fish limit of walleyes.
