They are designed with a flat head for a tight wiggling action, and feature an internally weighted rattle chamber to emit the sonic vibrations of distressed baitfish to lure fish from a wide radius. Designed to be vertically jigged below a boat or ice hole, or for casting over shallow flats and shorelines. It “rings-the-dinner-bell” . . . and rips a lot of lips!

I stumbled across your site while looking for ice fishing lures. Oddly enough, I
live in North Carolina, where there is no ice fishing. However, some of our prime
panfish fishing occurs during the winter months were fish will often school up near
structure or just in the deepest pockets. We've started to do a lot of vertical
presentations from docks on deep water bends, from kayaks, or under floats. That
being said, I've decided to start playing around with ultralight vertical
presentations. Mostly gear like what I grew up with in Iowa fishing the hard water
in the winter months. Obviously, with no ice fishing here, finding this sort of
stuff locally isn't going to happen. So a quick search for "ice fishing lures"
brought up your site and my hopes that several options will work are set in motion.
Our main winter targets are Yellow Perch which pretty much can only be effectively
targetted here in the late winter while they are spawning and Black Crappie that
stack up during the winter and become active as their March-April spawning window
opens. We also will catch Bluegills, Redbreast Sunfish, Warmouth, Flier, White
Perch(Silver Bass), Largemouth Bass, Chain Pickerel and occasionally Striped Bass.
We'll also be starting to do some trout fishing in stock lakes/ponds a couple hours
from here this winter, so I'm sure a lot of this stuff will come into play there as
well.
Not to ramble on to much, but we're a small group, mostly myself, my oldest
daughter(occasionally one of the younger girls too if they feel like it), and a
buddy or two. We make a lot of trips and chase a lot of fish in small waters that
aren't quite as illustrious as some folks will be willing to try to target. We
don't currently even own a full size boat, though we do have a few kayaks. We fish
for pretty much anything that we feel like, but targetting panfish, especially big
ones, is something that is tough to beat. Whether it's searching for thick winter
schooling fishing or having aggressive monsters smash tiny crank baits and blow up
topwaters during the warmer months.
Thanks for providing a site and products like you do. Hopefully I didn't ramble on
to much for you. :)
