The lure that started it all is still the number one "go-to" lure. Whether twitched on top as a surface bait, retrieved as a shallow runner, weighted with a split shot for medium depth or bottom walked off a three-way swivel or bottom bouncer, the wounded minnow action continues to be irresistible to fish everywhere. Premium black nickel VMC® hooks. Hand tuned and tank-tested to ensure that world renowned action straight from the box.

Thanks for sending them so soon, i fish them in a similar manor to a fly, cast at
90' to the river and reel in slowly, Atlantic Salmon is what i fish, in a small
river called the Seiont in Snowdonia North Wales, for some reason the F11 brown
trout rapala is always the best for me, although others catch on all colours and
sizes

I fish local streams around home that are full of trout both Browns and Rainbows. I
love using the Rapala lures as i find them the most effective. I just walk the edges
of the streams flicking lures and a slow retrieve all depending on the water flow
and depth. If its shallow i love to use the F5,F7 or the F11 brown or rainbow trout
pattern. This enables me to fish over the top of snags without getting caught up.
Deeper water i use the same but in the countdown series.I find the bigger the lure
the better. This does not mean you will catch bigger fish but Trout only attack a
lure due to aggression not because they are hungry. The trout are very terratorial
and will strike at a rapala if you get it close enough to them to piss them off. The
bigger the lure they feel more threatened by the size. Most fisherman use the fly
which is successful but in the shallow streams you can see where the trout sit and
if you get your rapala to past in front of them they
will nail it 9 times out of 10. I also have a boat and use them to troll with. This
is not as effective as flicking lures but has produced some big fish.

Hey, usually I just troll them but can't say I've actually used the floating ones
before. Also don't mind having a bit of a spin with them. All at different sorts of
speeds, especially coz the rapala's seem to be some of the only lures that maintain
a quality action at all speeds. Makes them a lot easier to use.
