Heavy-duty stainless solid rings that are virtually "unbreakable", and they offer superior strength as connectors between lines and leader. They resist abrasion from wire lines, and unlike split rings, will not cut through softer lines.
I use these along with heavy cross lock snaps on very heavy halibut jigs, It keeps my knots from being frayed or cut. We have very large halibut in S.E Alaska, 200- 400# I release big ones but don't want to loose my special jigs.
